Atlanta Rigging Systems, with Athletic & Performance Rigging,  Xtreme Structures,  and Entertainment Structures Group designed and installed the largest aluminum truss rigging grid in the world.

Tacoma Dome Rigging Grid Project

    * Grid Dimensions: 400’ x 160’ (world’s largest supergrid)
    * Grid trim height 80’-4” at catwalk surface
    * Over 8,100 feet of truss
    * Total Cable used – 47,661’ (Just over nine miles)
    * An estimated 2.5 miles of welding
    * Over 395 support points on the dome [112 for seismic cable attachment, 8 for access bridges and over 275 for supporting the grid
    * Maximum truss grid capacity of 625,000 pounds
    * Capable of supporting a 2 ton motor at any location
    * Over 825 bridle legs
    * Fall protection lines provided over each truss
    * Five catwalk access points to the grid
