Fleishman-Hilliard Seminar, Dallas, TX - March, 2001. The client brought us in to coordinate all the rigging, calculate point loads and create a cohesive rigging plan. By communicating with all the subcontractors (sound, lights video, etc.) and the facility, ARS was able to eliminated potential weight and placement issues, minimized unnecessary re-draw/design time and/or physical conflicts (ex: lighting truss in the way of video projection).

With only 21 hours from the trucks arrival to get the entire show up and ready for tech rehearsal, ARS and six local riggers hung 74 motors (68 of them inverted) in less than four hours. The tight time-line could not have been met without a coordinated rigging design and install plan.

ARS provided all structural plots and drawings to the venue for approval well in advance; eliminating any potential problems once the team arrived. ARS adapted to all alterations the client required, maintained all necessary approvals and submittals to the building.

ARS integrated over 3,000' of truss and 74 motors with custom lifting and attachment pieces to create two 60' wide x 26' tall scenic and video pieces that also served as a main part of the show. These structures flanked the main stage and acted as structural lighting grids on a vertical plane. Three 12' x 20 ' video screens and 3 billboard size banners per side were also hung without obstructing any other element. A ceiling height of 27' to the low steel with the rig designed to trim at 26-1/2' posed a special challenge. House lighting also hung at 25' and 26' throughout the room.

Whirlpool Booth, Atlanta Homebuilders Show, Georgia World Congress Center. What do you do when you can't "fly" your rig? Do what Whirlpool did - build a ground support system.

Due to flying restrictions imposed by the show association, no truss could be flown for the 2001 International Homebuilders Show in Atlanta. Here are some pictures of the 150' long, 79' wide, 25' tall structure that Atlanta Rigging Systems designed and built for Whirlpool.

The structure with lights, sound, video and scenic elements hanging from it weighed 28,492lbs with a total capacity over 80,000lbs. Standing on 21 towers the entire structure had to be built in 2 units, a 16-tower system and a 5-tower system to span the main aisle.

ARS installed the entire system in less than 8 hours and was at working height the next morning for the crews to hang the lights, sound, video and flying scenic elements.

WCW, Panama City Beach - March 2000. Atlanta Rigging Systems provided the ground support for TNT's final installment of WCW Monday Nitro.

Using a specially designed water ballast anchoring system for the challenging sand environment, ARS provided a 40' X 40' ground support system with a trim of 40' and towers in excess of 50' total height.

During our 4 + year relationship with WCW, ARS worked within the ever-changing production environment of live television to provide structural design consultation and all rigging equipment for all lighting, video, audio, staging & scenic elements.

ARS provided everything from the high-speed motor and rigging systems to quickly drop the Cage system to flying platforms where a ground-supported moving platform starts 30' above the ground, moves down to stage level and then up to 18' with live wrestling in progress all during Pay-Per-View television.
