Use Atlanta Rigging for your annual hoist inspection. Complete
load testing and inspection services - in your shop or ours.
What does Atlanta Rigging do to insure
that your hoists work properly?
When
your chain motors are serviced by Atlanta Rigging, the entire
condition of the hoist will be evaluated. Motor components and
load chain are visually inspected, drive train is audibly evaluated,
brake assembly is inspected and adjusted, upper and lower limits
are checked (where applicable), and hoist is load tested to
insure proper operation of the overload clutch. The same technicians
who maintain our rental fleet of over 1,000 chain hoists perform
all service.
If there are any problems, the client is contacted to approve
any work before it is performed. ARS maintains a large inventory
of hoist parts, improving turn around time when repairs are
necessary.
Why have your hoists serviced?
By law all electric chain hoists must be inspected at least
once a year by a competent person (ASME B30.16, 1999). This
inspection includes the load chain, hooks, electrical connections,
and general condition of the hoist. A written record of this
inspection must be kept on file. A load test and reinspection
of the hoist is required any time a load-bearing component is
changed. This includes the drive gears and the overload clutch
when applicable.
In addition, the manufacturer recommends that hoists that are
used on the road be load tested annually to insure proper operation
of the overload clutch.
